Part two of the Midtown Jazz Crawl concert series features the Rodney Whitaker Detroit-Chicago-Philly Group. Entertaining the audience with delightful melodies from a variety of jazz standards and original compositions from the past and present, Rodney will be accompanied by renowned East Coast and Midwest musicians, including Tim Warfield – tenor saxophone, Dwight Adams – trumpet, Dana Hall – drums, Rockelle Whitaker – vocals and Brendon Davis – piano.

This concert is one of four performances held over two weekends, May 1-2 and May 8-9, that will delve into the humanity, resilience, and spirituality of African American culture through the lens of jazz music. Performed by the Gathering Orchestra and seasoned professionals, this music often symbolizes survival, spiritual awakening, protests, prayer, and good times.
