SUMMARY:Psychedelic Soul - Tour
DESCRIPTION:A powerful era of the Motown Sound is coming to life in Detroit. \n\n\nMotown Museum presents Psychedelic Soul: A Journey Through Rhythm and Time\, the first exhibition presented at the Esther Gordy Edwards Centre for Excellence.\n\n\n\nWhile public tours of the original Hitsville U.S.A. campus remain paused during our ongoing expansion\, we are proud to welcome guests to the Esther Gordy Edwards Centre for Excellence for this immersive exhibition experience as we continue sharing the Motown story in new and engaging ways.\n\n\n\nTracing the groundbreaking Psychedelic Soul period from 1967 to 1975\, the exhibit explores how Motown pushed beyond its polished pop sound to embrace experimentation\, socially conscious storytelling and bold new production styles. Guided by visionary producer Norman Whitfield\, artists including The Temptations\, Edwin Starr and The Undisputed Truth redefined soul music through innovation and creative risk-taking.\n\n\nEmail – lariel@connectdetroit.org if your are interested.
