An update from the Connect Detroit Leadership team regarding COVID-19:
As concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) have evolved, the Connect Detroit Leadership Team would like to take a moment to update you on the precautionary measures we’re implementing at this time for our programming and workplace.
Above all, Connect Detroit is committed to the health and wellness of our youth, staff, partners and their families. As a result, Ready to SOAR programming has transitioned to remote and virtual programmatic experiences. Please note that we do not have any public events scheduled for Grow Detroit’s Young Talent (GDYT) as we prepare to also transition the 2020 GDYT program to a virtual summer experience.
Additionally, internal Connect Detroit team members will work remotely for the duration of the “shelter in place” order. Once the order is lifted, and our team members return to the office to work, we will adhere to the recommendations by the CDC for sanitizing our workplace as appropriate.
Team members will also implement handwashing best practices, and continue to employ physical distancing whenever possible.
We’re adhering to guidelines and directives put forth by The Center for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, as well as the Governor’s community mitigation strategies and recommendations and encourage the members of our community to do likewise.
Our team will continue to monitor and reevaluate the need for protective measures, making any necessary changes as more information is made available.
Please know we are here and working to support our community. If you would like to reach us, we can be contacted via email at info [at] connectdetroit [dot] org or by phone at 313.967.5898.
